Our Free Range Egg status remains. - Oast To Host

As has been evident in the news recently, many farmers are unfortunately unable to maintain their ‘free-range egg’ status at the moment. This is due to the outburst of Avarian Flu in late 2016, meaning that farmers were advised by DEFRA (Department for Environment, Food and Rural Areas) to keep their hens inside temporarily to minimise the risk of the disease spreading.

We have duly been in touch with our egg supplier and he has been advised by DEFRA that his hens may be released into the outdoors again, and so their ‘free-range egg’ status remains. Should anything change we will update our website accordingly, and if anyone has any queries, please feel free to contact us directly.
